Get FREE Traffic With This AdWords Trick (Probably Illegal)
Posted by Osi in Affiliate Marketing on August 12th, 2009
Ok, this came to me just a few minutes ago. Before I tell you, I hold no liability or anything of the sort if you go out and try this. You are completely responsible for what you do and the results you achieve. Now that we have that out of the way, I must say I have no idea if this is an already known “trick” and if it is against Google’s policy. It is just an idea I got.
Imagine getting FREE clicks on AdWords. The idea I had was to go out and write an ad. The description though, will be different here. In the description, you can tell people to NOT click on your ad. Tell them to copy and paste the green URL below the ad into their browser. This requires you to actually provide a valid URL in the green display area. So now you see what I’m getting at here. You are telling people to copy your URL instead of them clicking on the title. Hopefully inverse psychology will NOT be at play here and they will do as you say. There are others ways to tell it to them such as “copy this url to win a prize or get a free eBook.” If the person listens to the ad and copies you’re URL, you just got a FREE visitor for NOTHING. You did not pay Google for any clicks. Not a cent. This allows you to bid as high as you want, as long as you make sure that the ad compels the person to copy the URL instead of clicking on it.
The ads above were never published on the Google Search Network. If anyone was courageous enough to actually try this, then share your results in the comments section below. Give me your improvements and opinions. I would love to hear them!
A Guide to Setting up Your Affiliate Marketing Campaigns
Posted by Osi in Affiliate Marketing on June 24th, 2009
So by now you have found a product that you want to promote and you have a market audience in mind. You have the answer to their problems. You are eager to get started. Now how do you build a campaign in order to sell to them easily, well you might want to think about this one real hard…
You Need a Sales Process Map
What I mean by this is that you have to map out the paths that people will take in order to get to the product you are promoting. Will they read an article you are promoting, click on a link, end up on your page, and then get sent to the product’s pitch page? What will their state of mind be as they go along this path? Figure out what works best for your product and your audience. Every combination is unique.
Traffic Strategies and Consistency
You have to have some traffic generation strategies in place. How are you going to send people to your site or your product’s pitch page? You can use a number of ways like creating videos, PPC, paid, articles, classifieds, etc. Those are just some ways you can generate traffic. The part you should really focus on though is being consistent and persistent. Keep on doing this every day. If you post on forums, then post every day. You can’t just take a shower once, you must do it every day. If not, you will smell bad.
Building Destinations Depending on People’s State
Is your audience just interested in your product or do they have a desire to get it right now? These are the types of things you should know about your target audience. If your audience was just interested in what you had to sell, meaning they are not ready to buy, then you obviously wouldn’t send them to the pitch page. You would need to have a page of your own where you get their name and email address. Then you have a chance to shape (or whip) them into buying what you have to offer. Send them to different places depending on their state of mind. Your conversion rate will be above average. If that’s what you want in the first place.
Testing What Works and What Sucks
You have to test a bunch of factors in your marketing campaign. What this means is you need to gather data and test certain elements against each other in order to see which one works better. It is like sculpting and tweaking an ice statue (the best example I could come up with). For a better understanding, take a look at the different elements that you can test. Some being site elements and others being more within the sales process map:
- The background color of your landing page
- The font of your landing page’s text
- The font’s color
- Your call to action
- Different graphics
- Different positions for your graphics
- The type of audience (this should be tested first)
- The traffic source. Such as traffic from Youtube, Google, Articles Sites, etc.
- Can you think of anymore? (sure you can)
All you would need to do is test that blue background with the red background. If red has more conversion rates, then make that your default background color and move on to another test. This is called split testing. Google has created a tool called Website Optimizer. It is free to use and it can rotate certain elements for you. So it would show page 1 to half of your visitors and page 2 to the other half. Try it out.
The Incorporation (most important part*)
Incorporate your marketing campaign into your daily schedule (I bet you thought I was going to say incorporate your company). What do you have to do every day in order to be successful? Write it down on a piece of paper. It should look something like this: 9:00AM – Advertise on forums, 11:00AM – Improve PPC Campaigns, 1:00PM – Split test landing page, etc, etc, etc. Think of this as an action plan. You brainstorm the actions you must take so that you can focus every day.
Hopefully these tips were helpful. You can go ahead and use them now. Remember to be consistent and to test things out. Testing is very important. This is me signing off…

5 Ways to Market Your Products Online for Free
Posted by Osi in Affiliate Marketing on March 26th, 2009
One of the greatest skills to have on the internet is to know how to market products well. Once you are good at this, people will search high and low and pay you insane commissions just to get you to sell their products. Forget about paying for traffic. You will save money if you get it for free…
1. Articles
This one is perhaps the most widely used way to market stuff for free on the internet. Writing articles is also the easiest too. All you have to do is write a 250 word article and you can have it viewed by 100’s of targeted people. There are always people out there who are looking for information on certain things. If you can write something useful and something that solves their problems, they are going to consider you as an expert. They will click on your link and if they like what they see, a sale will be made!

2. Bookmark Your Stuff
Here is one of those ways that have to do with social networking. Basically all you have to do is find great sites and then bookmark them so that other people can see it. If these bookmarks are good, people will vote and in turn many more people will see it. Do you see the opportunity here? Why not bookmark your articles or product pages? People will begin to notice you and you will develop fans. The trick to this is to also bookmark stuff that you find interesting. Bookmark stuff that is related to what you are selling even if you won’t make money from it. Why? Because if it is that good, the bookmark sites will rank you high and you will gain more exposure because people will see you and look at what else you have bookmarked!

- Buzz.yahoo.com
- Technorati.com
- StumbleUpon.com
- delicious.com
*Use this tool to speed up your bookmarking if you are going to submit to many of these places. It is called OnlyWire and I use it all the time!
3. Comment on Relevant Blogs
You must comment on other people’s blogs for two reasons. One, people will see your link and click on it. Two, search engines will see it as backlinks and will rank your site/articles much faster and higher. Just be sure to provide “value” in your comments and to comment on sites that rank “high” in the search engines. Don’t be like this: ” I liked your article, learn how to make $506,484 in 7 minutes. www.IamscammingYou.com” People will see it and automatically throw it into their mental trash. And believe me, you don’t want to be there. What I recommend is to just leave a comment and have no words advertising your products. Instead just add a link with a title that says something relevant. Here is an example:
“This article was great. I can’t wait to put these money making strategies into action. Thanks”
Use this Code in your comment to link a text, most places accept it:
TITLE
Do you see how the link is just there. People won’t consider it as spam and will automatically click it. If the article was about money making strategies and your link has that, people will click! Don’t you love me?
4. Forums
Forums are a great way to establish a relationship with people. The more you give, the more you get. If you offer value to people’s questions and opinions, they will click on your link and see what else you have to offer having in the back of their mind that you always provide value. Then anything you give them will be considered valuable.
5. Free Classifieds
Here is something that requires little effort. All you need to do is to write a 100 word little ad and people will see it. Make sure that your ad is, again, “valuable.” Don’t sound spammy, especially in the title which is the first thing people will see. Would you really want to click on something that says “MAKE $5000 IN THE NEXT 2 WEEKS ONLINE”, hell no. No one is going to click on it. By the way, putting everything in caps lock is not going to help either. It is said that when search engines see things all in caps, they automatically consider it as SPAM! So knock it off.

*Bonus*
Since I am in a good mood right now, (because I’m going to McDonalds later (yea I know, I’m a fatty, it’s the stupid subliminal advertising they do)) the last thing you should have is a marketing system. You need to put all these marketing methods into place. And best of all, you have to attach them together. let’s say that you write an article, link that article to bookmark sites, link those bookmark sites to classifieds, and link those classifieds to relevant comments, etc. This is an example of fusion methods together. Try it!
There you go guys. The most important thing I can give you right now is this: Put it into friggin action right now because all of this is useless if you do not use it. It is not enough just to know it. Here is a little goal: Write one article a day for 3 months. That will be 93 articles by the end of month 3. Just do it now…
