McDonalds Warning on every box (like the cigarette Companies)

mcdonalds_warnings

Hey guys. A few minutes ago I thought about McDonalds (because I was eating it) and the effects it can have on people’s health. Most of us are not aware of what eating a Big Mac can do to our bodies. After going through a bunch of ways to cure this gap of ignorance, I finally had it. Let’s do what the cigarette companies do. On every happy meal bag that is sold to the customer, there should be an ad of what can happen to you if you eat McDonalds too much. Just like the yellow teeth on the cigarette boxes. Then those idiots will not be able to sue. Normally they would try to sue the company because they “did not know” that eating a Big Mac everyday for breakfast would make it so that their scale says “to be continued.” Sure, McDonalds could lose some sales because people would be turned off (not really, we are addicted remember), but at least they will save money from being sued.  Now excuse me, I have to get back to my Chicken McNuggets. Oh, and people, this may be old, but please do not leave your mobile phones at McDonalds either. Sheeesh!

Are you a Stay at home Mom or a factory worker?

Work at home moms beware! Home mailing is not as easy as it used to be. There is just one reason why home mailing really isn’t that good anymore and it has to do with the world-wide-web, also known as the internet…

Home mailing is something that has startled me for the longest time. It makes me laugh to see unemployed moms and stay at home moms go into this type of business. Before we get into this whole discussion, let me tell you what this whole home mailing “opportunity” is about. Basically you have to send out postcards and brochures. The home mailing company will supply you with these postcards and they will give you a list of people to which you can send them to. The company will then pay you for every postcard that you send that makes a sale. This means that every time someone buys something that your postcard tries to sell, you will make a fixed commission or a percent of the sale, depending on the company. They say that the reason they need you, an average mom, is because there are too many people that they have to send postcard to.

Now how is this whole home mailing thing related to the internet? The reason home mailing sucks is because you can do it much faster on the internet. Sending postcards to people’s homes is the same as sending emails to people and putting up advertisements on websites related to the product you are selling. The only difference between doing it online and doing it offline is that when you do it offline it takes much longer, it is harder to track, and it is almost impossible to “test” and see which postcard layout or product gives you the most advantage and sales. You see, selling has become something that is much easier to do on the internet. You can receive instant feedback and results when you ask someone for their email address and send them these “postcards”/ emails. The beauty of selling on the internet or marketing on the internet is that you can test almost any idea and track almost every stage of the buying cycle.

On the internet, people’s actions can be converted into numbers that can lead you to very accurate predictions. Imagine if you could accurately predict what is going to happen to a certain market or how much money you will make if you send this or that email. Even better, imagine if you could find out exactly what people want to buy and then sell it to them with confidence because you have their solution. Another great thing about doing business online is that you have the ability to get exposure from the masses in a short period of time. There are many cases where your site could be making only 25 sales per day. If you were to change something as simple as the color of your site, the amount of sales could change dramatically. This is because many people see it at the same time and have a different buying reaction to different colors. I have seen someone who was making a decent amount of sales. When he posted a video on his website, the amount of money he was making raised by about 200%. If you try to do these tests with home mailing, it would take too long for you to even draw any conclusions. And even if you did, the data would be out of date and you would have to restart again.

Are you a stay at home mom or a factory worker? Sending mail from your house is basically a factory job. You stay at home all day and send mail to other people. The job is so linear that you really don’t learn much and you do not do as much. Sending out letters to sell something is falling into the dinosaur age. Although it could stay with us for a couple of more decades, people are quickly starting to favour emails and doing it over the internet. If you are a work at home mother, the internet is the way to go. So go ahead and start learning it.
